Kelly joined Education First in 2020 as a Research Analyst. She has worked with foundations and K12 educators. Given her personal educational experience as a low-income student of color, Kelly is consistently driven by her passion for uplifting the communities that raised her. Her experience in the classroom as a bilingual educator pushes her to listen to and advocate for those fighting the fight each day- school staff, students and their families. To this end, Education First allows Kelly to bridge her personal and professional experiences in a meaningful way.
Kelly holds a B.A. in Human Rights from Columbia University with a specialization in Comparative Ethnic Studies. She graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with an M.A. in Politics and Education in 2019. Kelly is currently finishing her second Master’s in Bilingual Childhood Education at City College. In her free time, she likes to listen to live music, write and spend time with her beautiful niece, Charlotte. Kelly also loves cooking and snuggling her Boston Terrier, Oliver.
