Emnet is an Associate on the Engaged Students team, where she conducts research and analysis on teacher preparation programs, school improvement and intervention, and high-quality instructional aligned materials.
Emnet’s work in education is motivated by her deep belief that every student deserves an excellent education and is inspired by her parents, who immigrated to the United States in hopes that their own children would have access to a quality education. Emnet began her work in education as a high school science and social studies teacher in Denver, where she spent three years teaching, learning from, and collaborating with students and families. After her time in the classroom, Emnet worked as a research associate at SRI Education, where she supported clients across the country on projects related to STEM, college and career pathways, early literacy, and social and emotional learning.
Emnet holds a degree in Political Science from St. Olaf College and an Ed.M in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Outside of work, Emnet enjoys writing, traveling and watching reality TV.
